Gas Regional Work Plans

Following the mandate of the European Commission in April 2011, the three identified gas regions elaborated regional Work Plans for the period 2011-2014. The Work Plans outlined the main projects and activities to be developed at regional level and served as the main reference for the GRI work.
The South region updated its Work Plan in 2014, 2016 and 2019, while the SSE region did so in May 2015 and July 2016 and November 2019.

The currently adopted Work Plan of the South region contains a number of projects in different areas, aimed at:
  • Infrastructure
  • Market integration in the region
  • Contribution of gases to decarbonisation
The currently adopted Work Plan of the South South East region is focused on:
  • Storage and LNG
  • 24 h supplier switching
  • Market integration AT-IT
  • Network Codes Implementation on Interconnection Points between SSE EU and Energy Community TSOs
  • Public procurement rules applied at national levels by the TSOs of the SSE Member States and Contracting parties
All projects shall clearly indicate and plan the deliverables, the deadlines, and responsible parties involved.
