6th ACER REMIT Forum: Transparency and integrity of stressed power and gas markets
What is it about?
The EU Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) is hosting the 6th REMIT (Regulation of Energy Market Integrity and Transparency) Forum.
About the REMIT Forum
The Forum is a regular event bringing together ACER and stakeholders to discuss the implementation and potential evolution of the REMIT, including topics like transaction reporting, data quality, and market surveillance.
2022 REMIT Forum to reflect how current situation on energy markets impacts on the market integrity and transparency
This year's Forum will contain two thematic sessions.
The first session will focus on the market surveillance activities. It will be opened by a presentation done by ACER about its mandate on market surveillance and followed by a presentation on how surveillance done by Organised Market Places had contributed to preserve market integrity. After the presentations, a panel gathering the key stakeholders will reflect on the lessons learnt.
The second session will discuss the revision of the REMIT Implementing Regulation allowing stakeholders to share their perspectives. The Forum will also provide an opportunity to exchange views about the impact of the proposed high energy prices emergency intervention on trading and REMIT.
