The Agency has just published a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to enhance consultation, cooperation and the exchange of information relating to the monitoring of cross-border wholesale energy markets.
The MoU is an important step in ensuring the effective monitoring of wholesale electricity and gas market activities in both the United States and the European Union and will promote market integrity and customer protection in the global energy markets. The Memorandum was signed by ACER’s Director Alberto Pototschnig and FERC Chairman Cheryl A. LaFleur and took effect immediately. You can find out more here.
