5th ACER - ENTSO-E workshop on electricity long term flow-based allocation: simulations and collaterals

ACER and ENTSO-E are organising an online workshop on the simulation results of the long-term flow-based allocation of transmission capacities.

The goals of this 5th workshop on long-term flow-based allocation are to:

• Introduce the expected effects and outcomes on long-term flow based allocation to the Transmission System Operators (TSOs) and market participants in the Core and Nordic capacity calculation regions who are working on the implementation of the allocation principles; and
• Provide the simulation results that aim at providing further understanding on the long-term flow-based optimisation function.

In the previous four workshops (27 January 2022, 24 May 2022, 29 September 2022 and 15 February 2023), ACER and ENTSO-E addressed the high-level market design of the long-term flow based allocation, allocation optimisation function and the work on draft methodology for the Single Allocation Platform (SAP).

Next steps:

• 6th workshop on the long-term flow-based allocation is expected in September 2023.
• Single Allocation Platform that will support allocating the long-term flow-based electricity capacities is expected to go live by the end of 2024.
